RECTANGULAR DUCT
Rectangular duct is available in sections up to 5' long. Single wall ductwork is available with or without 1" thick liner.
Dual wall with perforated metal liner, is also available.
End connections can be provided with four-bolt connectors, slip & drive joints, raw to raw or TDC connectors.
Longitudinal seams can be provided with Pittsburgh or button punch type seams. Straight duct has strengthening beads 12" O.D. throughout.
Accessories such as cleats, clips, corners, gasket, flange, turning vane, sealant in longitudinal seams, reinforcement bars and Tie Rod reinforcement are also available.
Straight ductwork is normally shipped "knock down" to reduce shipping expense while fittings are normally fully assembled.
Straight ductwork can be shipped fully assembled for an additional charge.

SPIRAL DUCT
Our manufacturing capability in spiral duct includes galvanized and stainless steel pipe – as well as aluminum for special applications.
These are available in single wall, dual wall, and flat oval.
Full fittings, loose taps and factory manifolded taps, are available for slip-fit connections with our spiral pipe.
Other connections are available for in the field savings and can be made by using angle rings,
Spiralmate™ by Ductmate and AccuFlange™ by AccuDuct which can be factory installed or supplied loose for field installation
Dimensional data for fittings is available. However, SSei maintains its "If you can draw it, we can make it" theory for custom systems.
Fittings are manufactured with tack welds or full welds. Standing seam is also available upon request.
Additional accessories such as floorsweeps, volume dampers, insulation ends, bellmouths, access doors, blastgates and spin-in collars are also available.
SSei conforms with industry standards for operating pressures within the following gauges:

DUAL WALL INSULATED
SSei has a complete line of dual wall pipe and fittings.
Each piece is fabricated with an inner metal liner surrounded by insulation and covered by a solid metal outer shell.
All Dual Wall ductwork is available with 1, 2, or 3-inch insulation in galvanized steel, stainless steel and aluminum material.
Concentricity of liner to outer shell is maintained by mechanical means on all fittings and pipe with more than 1" of insulation.
The inner liner is available in either perforated or solid metal. Perforations are 3/32 inch diameter with an overall open area of 23%.
Inner liners are 24 gauge for 3" through 36" round and 22 gauge for 38" through 58" round.
The sheet metal liner protects the insulation from airflow velocities while it checks fiberglass erosion.
The insulation in our dual wall pipe and fittings has both acoustical and thermal benefits.
It can reduce radiated noise by 25 dB or more, compared to fiberglass duct board.
Our standard 1-inch insulation has a thermal conductance of 0.27 Btu/hr x sq. ft. x degree Fahrenheit.
Dual wall pipe and fittings are available with insulation thicknesses of 2-inches (0.13 Btu/hr x sq. ft. x degree Fahrenheit) and 3-inches (0.09 Btu/hr x sq. ft. x degree F).
Where fiber erosion is of special concern, we would wrap the sheet metal liner with a barrier material prior to the insulation being attached to the liner.
The outer shell will be fabricated per 1995 SMACNA duct construction standards for 4" W.G.
This outer shell is available in galvanized or stainless steel material for medium pressure systems. The outer shell can be sealed O.D. upon request.
Dual wall pipe and fittings are joined by slip connectors and fitting collars. The inner liner connectors are extended to mate the inner liners before the outer shells are mated.
The outer shell may be joined by slip fit, flanges, Ductmate Spiralmate™ rings or AccuFlange™

Flat Oval Duct
All flat oval duct and fittings by SSei meet or exceed industry standards for flat oval duct construction.
For dual wall applications, the listed gauges are for the outer shell. The inner shell is typically perforated galvanized, but it can be solid if desired.
The outer shell may be joined by slip-fit, angle flanges, Ductmate's Ovalmate™ rings, or AccuFlange™.
When using AccuFlange™, the insulation and inner liner are enclosed within the flange.
Flat oval is available in standard galvanized as well as aluminum and stainless steel.
Maximum duct length is 12'-0" for oval sizes up to and including 34" minor axis.
Maximum duct length is 8'-0" for oval sizes larger than 34" minor axis.
35" round major axis and larger can be rolled and fabricated with longitudinal welds. Maximum of 5'-0" length.
Welds on fittings and longitudinal welded ducts are painted with corrosion resistant paint.
